You can now use the “Event List” flex page content block to create a tabbed page with tabs of Events organized by Genre, Series, or other category.

Go to Pages >> Add New.

Add a New Tab.

Select Content Type: Event List

Enter any intro text you'd like before the list in Event List Text. This is usually a description of the series or genre.

Select whether you'd like to select events manually or automatically (the default).  It's typically less work to select events automatically, but you can select them manually if you need to precisely curate the events displayed in this list.  You'd need to then keep updating this list if you're selecting events manually.

If you're selecting events automatically, Select the event category you'd like to display in Event List Taxonomy. This could be a Genre, Series, Season, or another category.

If you're selecting events manually,  select them in "Events to Display". You can either search by event title or filter by taxonomy and select one or more events for your list.

Set the list to show all events, past events, unscheduled events or upcoming and current events (the default).

If you're using the education add-on, you can choose whether to display events and/or classes in your list.

You can select from three layouts – Event List, Event Grid, or Event Carousel Layout.  If you use the Event Grid Layout, Events appear as a "masonry" grid of blocks, and will display the vertical "Event Portrait" image if set.

Select a limit of number of events to display in this list.

Hit Publish or Update.

Event List blocks display events just like search results, with optional event images, buy tickets links for Upcoming and Current events, etc. The page will pull this info from the Event Detail.  Event Lists are best used when you need to emphasize details, like with a list of classes.

If you use the Event Grid format, you'll see more events and less detail for each event to give more of a "browsing" experience that emphasizes the variety of your programming. This is ideal for a season overview.

The Event Carousel layout packs the same visual layout of the grid into a more compact format. This is good for a larger catalogue of events, e.g. Films or virtual programming, where it's not important to see all the events in the set at the same time.
