You can now update your Legacy Flex Page to the new default template with one click, under the publish button.

About the Flex Page

The flex page is a basic template to use for most of the static pages on your site: Plan Your Visit, Donate, Staff, Sponsors, etc.




Page without tabs

In Page Tabs, click Add Tab. 


Leave the Tab Label blank.  Press the "Add Content Block" button and select the Content Block(s) you would like to add.





With just one tab entered, the page will not display the tab navigation and will instead display the right sidebar global promos. 



Page with multiple tabs 


Enter a Tab Label, which will display in the tab navigation.

Enter multiple tabs by clicking the blue Add Tab button at the bottom right of the meta box, or the plus sign on the right. 



Collapse Tabs with the up arrow in the top left. 



Expand with the down arrow in the same spot. 


Reorder tabs: click on the left side of the tab (with the number), then drag and drop. 


Delete tabs with the red "do not enter" button on the right. On hover the tooltip will say "Remove row?"




Adding Content Blocks

You can select multiple content blocks on each tab and drag and drop their number to reorder them. 





Hide a tab or content block

You can take a tab or block off the public page and keep everything in it saved. This is useful for seasonal content, or for reworking part of a page without losing the old version.

  • To hide a tab: at the bottom of the tab, set Hide Tab to Hidden.
  • To hide one content block: hover over the block's top bar, and select More layout actions (the three dots) >> Disable.

Hidden tabs and disabled blocks are highlighted in the editor, so you can see at a glance what the public can't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an automatic way to migrate a Legacy Tabs Page (Old) to a Flex Content Page?


Yes. Edit the legacy page and, under Page Attributes, click Update to Tab 2.0 Page. Review any warnings, and the page converts in place. See Upgrade a Legacy Flex Page to the Default Template.

Can I turn a Flex page into a Landing page?

Yes, for a page with a single tab. Click Convert to Landing Page under Page Attributes. Landing pages have a matching Convert to Flex Tabs (2.0) button, so you can switch back.

Some blocks exist on only one template. Before converting, the confirmation window lists any blocks that won't carry over:

  • Flex to Landing: Photo Gallery, FAQ, Downloads, People List, Calendar, and Benefits Comparison Table stay behind. A promo block with a single promo shows as a full-width feature, and the page's own sidebar promos are removed, so the page falls back to your global sidebar promos.
  • Landing to Flex: Feature, Link Cloud, and Social Share stay behind. Everything else lands in one untitled tab.

A page with more than one tab can't convert to a Landing page. Combine its content into one tab first.
